About DLace
.. ... ....... @DirtyLaceDesign ... ...... -Founder of DirtyLace Designs, Artist and Designer- .... .......... .. Think of me as your bipolar friend. One day I'll show up in leather pants with a grungy oversized shirt and go on and on about modern design while taking a long island to the head. The next day I'll be sipping on wine in a feminine lace dress paired with brightly colored heels talking about the shortage of trees and beautiful art. And somewhere in between all that is a lot of sarcasm. This blog embodies my DirtyLace personality. Filled with personal thoughts, ideas, and inspirations that are drawn from fashion, art and design. Visit www.DIRTYLACEDESIGNS.com for all my designs and apparel pieces. .:: Enjoy ::.
Fashion is a lot like cooking
For those of you who have ever prepared and cooked a big meal, knows exactly what I mean. Youre franctically running back and fourth, preparing, tasting and rolling and stuffing for hours. And once youre done, the final details are put in place; the perfect caserole dish to compliment the even more perfectly chosen silverware, all to be displayed along your own runway for your dishes. All those hours of preparin and molding and tasting and finalizing, leads to about 15 minutes of it being engulfed. By the time you have finished clearing the table and washing that perfect caresole dish you picked out days before, your masterpiece is already well on its way to being digested to later be disgarded in a much less glamourous way it went in, in order to make room for the next best meal. And thats why Fashion is just like cooking.. All that tucking and cutting and fitting and cutting again leading to choosing the best models to act as the perfect caserole dish to display your masterpiece, and then finally picking the best display runway dinner tAble for those walking dishes of yours. After all those countless hours, it leads to a good 15minutes of it being taken it and engulfed, where by the time the runway’s cleared it’s already started its own digestive process making room for next week’s It collection show. But those 15minutes is the best feeling in the world, when you feel a sense of accomplishment that you just fed a very hungry Audience a great meal.
