One day I'll show up in leather pants with a grungy oversized shirt and go on and on about modern design while taking a long island to the head. The next day I'll be sipping on wine in a feminine lace dress paired with brightly colored heels talking about the shortage of trees and beautiful art. • WHO IS THE DIRTYLACE GIRL ?

       The girl who grew up with 3 brothers and in muddy clothing, owns a badass firebird and changes her own oil while being the same girl who won’t step out of the house in sweats and refuses to wear heels in anything under 3inches.

       The girl who can have a beer with the fellas, knows what COD, FF7 and PS3 stands for while also knowing what to use a MAC 239 for. The treehugger with a taste for modern design. The skydiving-adrenaline junky that’s petrified of bugs.

       The strong, opinionated, dominant girl who can take on the weight of the world yet cries over Disney movies and The Notebook. The Rock & Roller crowd surfer who listens to jazz on a rainy day. The girl who says “I got it” but isn’t afraid to ask for help. 

Dirtylace is the girl that when asked if growing up they were a tomboy or a girly girl, they say would answer “both.”

  • Founder of DirtyLace Designs / Artist / Designer / Stylist
  • My real name is Eliane [eh-lee-ah-nee] but most call me Annie
  • 25yrs old 
  • Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Came to the US at age 10
  • Graduated from the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) with a BFA in Illustration Design in 2009
  • Gave birth to DirtyLace Designs smack in the middle of the 2010 recession, weighing in at 6.6 sextillion tons (weight of the world) and with a lotta of love to give. 
  • As an artist/designer : Captivated with contradictions and diametrical opposites: Partnerships between the traditional and the modern, the reserved and the slightly eclectic, the geometric and the organic, the dirty and the pretty. 
  • As a stylist : Drawn to fusing Grungy, Rock&Roll and Urban elements with Classic, Feminine pieces.Obtaining Associate’s Degree in Fashion Design from Parsons The New School For Design in the near future 
  • Puppies and Mozzarella Sticks make me happy.
